Truck manufacturer MAN has changed its legal status to become a European stock corporation trading under the name MAN SE.
The group said the Societas Europaea (SE) form of corporation (sometimes called Europe Inc) offered the opportunity to integrate national companies within the group to a greater extent and to establish a better position in global competition with a European corporate identity.
This had already been accomplished at the MAN Diesel subsidiary.
MAN AG’s change of legal form to an SE does not mean the formation of a new legal entity. Because of its identity as a legal entity, stockholders’ shareholdings will continue unchanged.
