Volvo Truck and Bus Centre North & Scotland have opened a dealership on Teesside.
The depot will handle truck, bus and coach parts and service, and new and used truck sales. It will also offer customers the chance to book annual tests at the site’s VOSA-authorised MOT test bay.
Customers will also have access to the Volvo Customer Portal, an internet-based service which enables contract and preventive maintenance customers to view their account details online, alongside service schedules, service job sheets and invoices.
A number of measures have been taken to reduce the carbon footprint of the site, including compliance with the latest standards for Sustainable Drainage Systems; rain water collection and filtering; roof fans that blow hot air back to the workshop floor to reduce fossil fuel use and low energy light bulbs.
The depot replaces Volvo’s older site in Yarm Road Business Park, Darlington.
