Privately-owned haulier Boarhunt has reported major fuel and carbon emissions savings after fitting 38 of its 48-strong fleet with an Eco Map System from Eco Power Group.
HGVs travelling around 75,000 miles per annum use approximately 48,000 litres of fuel. And the system can offer typical savings of around 8,000 litres per annum – equal to a 21-tonne reduction in carbon per vehicle per year.
David Pushman, Boarhunt’s haulage director, said, “We are very happy with the results we have had from using the Eco Map system, since the first system was fitted we’ve seen an average MPG improvement of 1.1 MPG.”
Boarhunt estimates that the system has paid for itself within six weeks.
