Vitronic has launched the VIPAC D2, which is designed to automatically calculate the volume of parcels and the smallest box that will enclose them.
It has been developed for scanning irregular shaped items and enables users to optimise space in transit vehicles, verify package data provided by customers and automate invoicing.
Malcolm Smith, Vitronic’s UK sales manager, said: “Users can operate VIPAC D2 as a standalone unit, or integrate it into existing systems. It is compatible with VIPAC, our automated parcel recognition system. Benefits include increased efficiency and reduced costs. VIPAC D2 will be popular with companies that handle irregularly shaped goods.”
