Churchill China has installed IFS’s ERP suite, IFS Applications, as part of its long-term infrastructure and business systems upgrade investment.
The system will be rolled out across all the Churchill China business areas, including tableware for use by hotels and restaurants, which is manufactured in the UK, and tableware for domestic use, which is manufactured by third party suppliers around the world.
The new single integrated product will support 140 users and replaces several systems which currently control core business operations, giving the company of its global supply chain.
The component-based architecture of the system will allow the integration of disparate business functions such as distribution, HR, payroll and new product development over a three-phase go-live. It also includes the core components of manufacturing, warehousing, supply chain management and finance.
Jan Parylo, project manager at Churchill China, said: “When our systems were installed several years ago, they were state-of-the-art. They have served us very well, and we’ve done a great job of moulding them to fit our requirements over time. However, the time has come for us to overhaul the system, update to a single ERP solution and streamline our business practices in an increasingly competitive market.”
