GE’s TIP Trailer Services has won a contract with Asda which will see it supply both ambient and refrigerated trailers to the retailer for the rest of the year.
As part of the deal TIP has created an Asda Contracts team to help maintain service levels to the retailer’s 22 depots. TIP will also use Asda’s iComply online records system so that the retailer’s staff has access to service levels and compliance information at all times.
TIP will also provide flexible service support as part of the deal.
Chris Hall, network transport manager, central logistics, Asda, said: “This relationship will enhance our distribution operation in both peak and non-peak times.”
