Entries are now open for the DHL Innovation Award 2009, which offers young logistics scientists the opportunity to gain recognition for their practical logistics solutions.
DHL advises that creative solutions that are focused on customer needs above all else have the best chance of winning.
Entrants are required to provide the theoretical approach as well as some first assumptions on the market potential of the solution. It is also suggested that a business is included.
A panel of experts from R&D, politics and business will evaluate the entries and a prize of 5,000 euros will be presented to the winner at an award ceremony on 1st December 2009, at the DHL Innovation Center near Bonn, Germany.
Frank Appel, CEO of Deutsche Post DHL, said: “Logistics feeds off creative ideas. With the DHL Innovation Award, we are supporting young scientists who have the ability to create pioneering ideas that are also practical in their implementation.”
