Thermo King has expanded its SL truck fridge range to include a multi-temperature SLX model.
The refrigerated transport specialist says the SLX Spectrum uses 30 per cent less fuel than the previous SL version, emitting 30 per cent less carbon dioxide emissions.
It also reckons it is up to 65 per cent quieter than its predecessor.
Each multi-temp unit contains a multilingual Smart Reefer 2 controller, which shows the status of up to three trailer compartments on its screen.
There is also an optional rear remote control available which allows the operator to set and check temperatures from inside the rear of trailer when loading.
The unit is also fitted with a SmartSet device which helps protect sensitive cargo by providing tighter temperature control and reducing dehydration.
