Ceva Logistics has won a contract with Sainsbury’s to provide nationwide two man white glove home delivery services. Under the deal Ceva will support Sainsbury’s Non Food Direct business.
The logistics company will manage deliveries across the UK, collecting most orders from Sainsbury’s fulfilment centre in Corby and transporting them to Ceva’s Northampton distribution centre, for onward distribution to customers.
Other products will be “made to order”, collected by Ceva from the manufacturers and delivered direct to the customer’s home. All deliveries will be made via Ceva’s UK home delivery network.
Sainsbury’s head of Non Food Logistics, David James, said: “Following a detailed due diligence process Ceva proved itself to be a quality partner with the right cultural fit.”
