BG Freight Line (BG) has launched a twice-weekly service linking Teesport with Antwerp and Rotterdam.
The first rotation will see the first vessel call at Antwerp on Friday, Rotterdam on Saturday and Teesport on Sunday.
This vessel then calls Grangemouth on Monday and returns to Antwerp for Wednesday.
The second schedule connecting Rotterdam with Teesport calls at Rotterdam on Thursday, Teesport on Friday returning to Rotterdam for Saturday.
This schedule is operated by an additional vessel specifically chartered by BG to support the Teesport service.
David Robinson, PD Ports’ group chief executive, said: “BG is the only feeder company linking Teesport to the Port of Antwerp and we are delighted to welcome them to the Port.
“This service adds this important extra Port to those destinations already regularly served from Teesport.”
