Vizada VSAT has chosen Kuehne + Nagel to provide air/sea freight and warehousing for its satellite communications equipment in the USA, Europe and Asia.
Under the terms of the deal K+N will transport Vizada products by air and sea and will also be responsible for implementing and managing a number of consolidation and storage warehouses in the Netherlands, California and Dubai.
This is the first contract to be secured by K+N following its acquisition of J Martens earlier in the year.
J Martens was previously the logistics service provider to Marlink, a subsidiary company of Vizada, which produces maritime satellite systems.
The new agreement incorporates an extension of logistics services to the parent company for a minimum period of two years.
Road transport will be used for onward distribution from these sites to Vizada’s clients.
