Groupe SEB, which owns brands including Tefal, Rowenta and Moulinex, has extended its contract with Norbert Dentressangle to handle its e-logistics for its online store Home & Cook.
Norbert was originally appointed in 2008 to provide warehousing and distribution for the company’s retail customer base and seven Home & Cook retail outlets, but it will now also be responsible for picking and packing online orders and managing home deliveries via mail or parcel carrier.
The operation is run from a 200,000 sq ft site within Norbert’s facility in Telford and will see around 100,000 pallets and 10,000 home delivery orders being dispatched per year.
Returns and end of life products will also be dealt with through the site.
The existing Red Prairie WMA will be used to support he operation and will interfae directly with Groupe SEB systems and the Home & Cook web site.
Alan Shepherd, Groupe SEB UK’s logistics manager, said: “Norbert Dentressangle has proven its ability to handle the extremely strict and varied requirements of our retail customers and bringing the e-logistics operation under the same roof was an obvious next step.”
