Airline bmi reckons it has taken less than a year to recoup its investment in the Tranman fleet management system from Civica.
The airline operates 1,700 flights per week over a network of 46 airports in the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia and transatlantic to the USA and Caribbean.
Tony Page, motor transport and ground support equipment manager for bmi, said: “We have easily recouped our initial investment within its first year of operation, and the enhanced workflow system in particular has been priceless.”
Tranman is used to manage the maintenance of all bmi ground support equipment vehicles which are used to maintain and support aircraft – some 1000 items of equipment including vans, aircraft jacks, tugs, ground power units and access equipment, Tranman enables bmi to run an effective and productive fleet.
