Yearsley has added 115 refrigerated trailers from Schmitz Cargobull to its fleet. The trailers were purchased outright by Yearsley and will be used on routes predominantly in the UK – although some mainland European work will be undertaken.
Yearsley’s business is divided into two main areas – the sale of frozen foods to wholesalers, retailers and caterers, and the storage and distribution of a range of frozen foods – including raw materials to manufacturers and finished goods to retailers, wholesalers and other food outlets.
“We have developed an excellent relationship with Schmitz Cargobull,” said Yearsley’s transport director, Edward Yearsley.
The Yearsley trailers were among the first to be produced on the recently completed multi-product trailer assembly line which is now fully operational at Schmitz Cargobull’s factory at Harelaw in County Durham. The new integrated line allows both curtainsider and refrigerated trailers to be built simultaneously.
