JDA Software has acquired German retail software vendor Strategix Enterprise Technology, which will increase its offering in central and eastern Europe.
Under the deal, Strategix will team up with JDA’s existing operations in Europe to expand the latter’s presence for its entire suite of products in manufacturing and retail across central and eastern Europe, and Russia.
JDA also gains various rights to Strategix-developed applications for manufacturers and retailers that have been designed to enhance JDA’s Intactix suite, including a suite of SAP integration tools.
The Strategix SX-Link and SX-Analyzer systems, which have been certified by SAP, including their use as a Packaged Composite Application for SAP NetWeaver, will now also be offered globally by JDA.
Chief executive Hamish Brewer says that despite Germany being the largest economy in Europe, JDA has historically struggled in that market.
“However, Strategix has successfully built a solid presence and reputation in this market that we believe will provide a solid foundation for expanding JDA’s presence across our entire suite of products.”
