Upholstery manufacturer Westbridge Furniture Designs has appointed Ceva Logistics to provide direct home delivery services in the UK and Ireland, to help fulfil its new contract with Sainsbury’s.
Under the agreement, Ceva will collect furniture from Westbridge’s manufacturing plant in north Wales and transport it to its distribution centre in Manchester.
Ceva will then contact the customer directly to arrange a time for delivery.
The white glove service includes placement in the customer’s room and removal of packaging and will be made via Ceva’s home delivery network.
Nigel Holifield, operations director at Westbridge, said: “Working with Ceva enables us to focus on our core business of manufacturing top quality upholstery.”
Ceva recently signed another contract in this sector with Alstons Cabinets.
