Drinks logistics company Tradeteam has named Gavin Murdoch managing director.
He replaces Simon Stacey who has been promoted to managing director of parent company DHL’s consumer division.
Murdoch will oversee Tradeteam’s operations across its nationwide network of 30 sites, 600-strong fleet of vehicles and more than 2,000 employees.
He joins from his position as vice president of the consumer, retail and healthcare division at DHL Supply Chain in Japan, where he developed new operations with key customers, including the start up of three new distribution centre operations.
Murdoch has worked in the UK and international logistics industry for over 17 years, with roles in operations, business development and IT.
He said: “It’s a fantastic time to join Tradeteam. Despite general industry trends showing decline in the sector we have secured several new contracts this year and we are excited about future potential opportunities. I am relishing the challenge of continuing this success.”
Stacey added: “Gavin’s experience will bring a new perspective and ideas for the next phase of Tradeteam’s development.”
