Axxom Software has launched a new version of its Orion-PI Logistics Optimisation software.
It provides enhanced features for warehouse and space management which allow users to build virtual, true to scale models of their logistics system to simulate different strategies and changes in the warehouse to improve warehouse processes.
The updated version looks to answer the following questions:
What kind of structure and equipment makes sense in a warehouse? Where should new articles or special campaign and seasonal products be stored? What is the optimal order picking strategy? What manpower is required for the efficient handling of the upcoming order volume and how does an optimised layout look?
