Casio has added a CMOS imager to its DT-X7 hand-held scanner, enabling it to read one and two-dimensional ident codes such as DataMatrix or QR Code.
Guy Boxall of Casio said: “The DT-X7 has been specially developed for use in the day-to-day work environment on the retail shop floor and in the warehouse.”
The laser scanner of the DT-X7 recognises all current 1D codes. It operates at a resolution of 0.15 to 0.25 mm and can read at distances of 40 to 410 mm. The CMOS imager is suited to complex codes such as DataMatrix, Maxicode and QR Code.
