Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) has appointed Damco as its supply chain management partner in India and Pakistan, responsible for the management of its consolidation programme.
Damco already covers H&M’s operations in Bangladesh, Cambodia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Vietnam and Thailand.
Martin Thaysen, chief commercial officer at Damco, said: “Damco will support H&M with an on-location team in India and Pakistan. Their focus will be to implement and deliver to the sharp operational KPIs and continue to support further optimisation, performance and cost reductions in H&M’s supply chain.”
The new setup and related processes will be in place and finalised by mid-September, ahead of H&M’s peak season.
