Door manufacturer Union Industries has completed a project at the new Tesco import centre in the North East.
The company has installed two Bulldoors and a heavy duty Ramdoor, both part of the Matadoor range, at the facility, which is located in Teesport, Middlesbrough.
The internal, three metre wide by five metre high Bulldoors each feature a bespoke designed steel-braced, free-standing frame to provide lateral support for the doors.
The range is not hung from the wall structure, instead the majority of the weight is supported by the floor. In addition they require high level structure to tie into to give doors lateral support.
The 2.8 metre wide by five metre high Ramdoor has been installed on the inside of a high-use external opening to help support environmental control. The door has a fast-operating speed to reduce the opportunity for the ingress of cold air, rain, dirt, dust, insects and vermin.
Both doors feature Union’s ‘Crash-Out’ facility, which allow the doors to remain operable even if hit by a vehicle, and are supplied with fire retardant and anti-static door blades as standard.
