True to the spirit and objectives of the European Supply Chain Excellence Awards, the entrants this year came from a diverse range of industries and companies across Europe. The judging panel has been extremely impressed with the calibre of submissions which made our job a degree harder than anticipated but really highlighted the extent to which supply chain improvement initiatives have been embraced and innovation deployed within European companies.
We are delighted to announce the shortlist in this issue which sees submissions from previous winners and the arrival of new participants. We wish each of our finalists the best of luck with the next round which includes a site visit from a member of the panel to gain a further insight into the day to day operations of the organisation.
We also hope many readers will take the opportunity to join us at the Awards Dinner at the Grosvenor House Hotel on 1 November to network with industry leaders and supply chain professionals who understand the role supply chain management can play in operational transformation.
