Crescent chose a warehouse management system from HighJump Software to support its logistics and contract packaging operations in the US. The third party logistics provider manages a total of 1.7 million sq ft of warehouse space in three states for customers in consumer packaged goods, food and aviation industries, and has picked software for warehouse management, manufacturing execution, slotting, billing management, and supplier enablement to steer operations.
TomSchwallie, executive vice president, Crescent, says: “As a third party logistics provider each new piece of business brings newrequirements. We chose theHighJump solution for its adaptability tools, which will allow us to bring on newcustomers easily and quickly.”
The system has automated all the warehouse processes that were previously manual, and helped streamline product flow, improve productivity and accuracy. Crescent is using the system to meet customer traceability requirements for batch and lot code tracking.
The system also enables the company to integrate with customer Enterprise Resource Planning systems – a requirement which it says previously “hindered new businesswins”. Crescent is usingHighJumpManufacturing Advantage for its co-packing operations.
