American Airlines Cargo has launched an express temperature-controlled service – ExpediteTC, following trials in the early summer across ten international origin and destination city pairs.
ExpediteTC shipments receive specialised handling at both departure and arrival airports to ensure the desired temperature remains constant. Specific temperature ranges are monitored at various points during transit and the airline offers a 100 per cent flown-as-booked guarantee.
AA Cargo worked with container manufacturer Envirotainer to offer three container types for customers, including an LD3, LD7 and an “E” type container, which can also be shipped on narrow-body aircraft. The result is a product that allows the customer to determine the internal temperature – within a range of -20C to +20C.
