LXE has launched the MX9 series of ultra-rugged hand-held computers, designed for use in heavy industrial and outdoor data collection environments.
Features include an outdoor display, multiple scanning and imaging options, back-lit keypads, built-in GPS and WWAN and Bluetooth communication options.
The MX9CS uses lowtemp batteries and built-in heater control so is also suitable for a variety of cold storage applications.
Both operate on Windows CE 5.0, offering an open platform for application development and replace the MX5 series.
Ian Davies, country manager of LXE in the UK, said: “The MX9 family of hand-held computers further extends LXE’s reach into new markets and outdoor data collection applications.
“We have seen a growing demand for ultra rugged computing products. The MX9 computer offers best–in-class performance along with special features such as GPS receivers for positional location applications. Interest in the product for agriculture, forestry and public safety markets, among others, demonstrates the need for high reliability hand-held computing solutions.”
