Luggage retailer Tripp has signed a five-year warehousing contract with Seafield Logistics.
Tripp is the exclusive luggage retailer for Debenhams with 114 locations in the UK and Ireland.
Seafield will be operating a 41,000 sq ft warehouse at Claylands Avenue in Worksop, where it will receive, store, pick and pack luggage.
It will also provide logistics support for internet orders received through the Tripp and Debenhams web sites.
A number of existing Tripp staff are expected to transfer to the new site and it is likely that a number of new roles will also be created.
Craig Clingan, director of logistics at Tripp, said: “Tripp operates a lean supply chain; as a consequence it is imperative that our partners offer a service where speed, reliability and choice are standard.
“Through this partnership Tripp will gain enhanced visibility of our supply chain, this combined with the dynamic management at Seafield will give us a real competitive advantage throughout the business.”
