Nestlé Chile has signed a contract with Kuehne + Nagel to become its exclusive contract logistics service provider, managing all four national distribution centres.
K+N will be responsible for warehousing and distribution services for the shelf-stable range of Nestlé products.
The four sites are located across the country covering the northern area from Antofagasta, the central area from Quilicura and Maipú, and the southern area from Concepión, which totals 65,000 sq m of warehouse space.
Jaime Rojo, Nestlé’s supply chain director for the Austral American Region, said: “The partnership Kuehne + Nagel and Nestlé have set up to manage the logistics of Nestlé’s end products has to deliver competitive advantage.
“Nestlé expects to receive not only high-quality service, but also added value from Kuehne + Nagel’s experience and knowledge, which is key for us in differentiating from our competitors and exceeding customers and consumers expectations from a service and efficiency standpoint.”
