Home Delivery Network has chosen Avalanche Mobility Centre from Wavelink to manage some 5,000 mobile devices used by its delivery drivers. HDNL uses thousands of Intermec CN3 rugged mobile devices to manage its deliveries and tracking.
Dave Picking, director of systems and integration for HDNL, said: “The management of such a large number of mobile devices has always been a challenge for us, and with so many devices being used for such a wide range of mission-critical applications, it became overwhelming to manage all of the regular software updates.
“By leveraging the Wavelink solution, individual devices can also be rebooted, monitored and tracked remotely. Being able to manage and update thousands of devices remotely is a huge advantage to us, making the process quicker, easier and far less costly.”
