Independent toy retailer The Entertainer has signed a contract with TDG to run its warehouse and transport operations ahead of a four year expansion plan.
The company currently runs 50 stores and plans to open a further 50 by 2014. It will also be relocating to a larger site where operations will commence in February 2010.
The 175,000 sq ft facility located in Swindon is almost three times as big as the retailer’s current warehouse.
The Entertainer also operates web sites thetoyshop.com and thegadgetshop.com, which are currently in temporary premises in Amersham and outsourced to a third party in Oxfordshire, but will be relocating to a warehouse in Little Chalfont at the same time.
