Keystone Distribution UK has implemented Manhattan Associates’ warehouse management system as part of a programme to improve service levels ahead of future growth.
The system has been deployed at the company’s 190,000 sq ft distribution centre in Hemel Hempstead.
Keystone Distribution UK, a subsidiary of Keystone Foods, is strategic partner of McDonald’s UK and manages a large part of its supply chain, as well as replenishing its 1,200 UK stores.
Mark Ridgewell, Keystone’s head of information systems, said: “I had experience of working with Manhattan in the past. I knew its people had a great depth of expertise and knowledge and I also knew its systems were highly configurable, scalable and proven to work in a wide range of industry sectors.
“Following the implementation at our Hemel Hempstead distribution centre, we’re delighted that our pick rate has increased so significantly and that we’re able to provide our clients with a much clearer picture of inventory levels and status.”
