Clipper Logistics Group has signed a contract with Urban UK to provide logistics services for US retailer Anthropologie, which opened its first European branch on Regent Street this month.
Anthropologie is the sister brand of Urban Outfitters and has 130 stores across north America, as well as outlets in Canada.
During the build up to the store opening in London, Clipper worked with Urban UK to implement Manhattan Associate’s warehouse management system which the operation now runs on.
Clipper will be processing all stock for the new store, including retail ticketing for 7,000 SKUs.
It will also provide an e-commerce order fulfilment service to support Anthropologie online.
Gordon Watts of Clipper, said: “The addition of the Anthropologie brand to our Urban UK operations will enable us to offer the client a wide ranging service, including warehousing, stock processing and e-fulfilment.
“Anthropologie is a new and exciting brand for the UK that has been very successful in the US and we are expecting to handle significant volumes on their behalf over the next 12 months.”
Urban UK chief operating officer for Europe, Andrew Mclean, added: “Clipper’s proven agility and expertise in working with Urban UK meant that the team was an obvious choice to provide a logistics solution for Anthropologie.”
