Robert Wiseman Dairies has implemented Isotrak’s Active Transport Management System across its 900 vehicle fleet and is on target to reduce fuel consumption by seven per cent.
Isotrak and Wiseman Dairies began working together in March 2008, following the use of Isotrak’s Transport Efficiency Analysis program, which observes normal operations in a sample of vehicles.
The system indicated potential fuel savings of five per cent could be achieved by implementing a number of systems including Isotrak’s Driver Style Monitoring module powered by CANbus engine telematics data, which monitors and reinforces safe and fuel efficient driving.
A fully operational proof-of-concept phase encompassing 120 vehicles from three locations was then carried out, during which time a seven per cent reduction was achieved.
A longer-term goal for Isotrak within Wiseman Dairies will be to look at the opportunity to provide visibility of jobs across the whole transport network, delivering continually updated ETAs to destinations via the Isotrak job management module.
