YRC Logistics has celebrated the opening of its new 6,500 sq ft warehouse at Totton with a party for more than 80 guests.
The business has been growing steadily over the past eight years and clients now include: Northern Tool, GKN Aerospace, and Ben Sherman. YRC Logistics is a subsidiary YRC Worldwide which has operations in Asia, North America, South America and Europe and operates from six sites in the UK – London, Hemel Hempstead, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and Southampton.
Regional manager Gary Phillips said: “Since moving to Southampton we’ve experienced a range of economic conditions, from the boom of the ‘90s to the worst recession since the Second World War. Through good times and bad our business has continued to develop, take on a new shape and strategic direction and I believe that we are well placed to meet the challenges of 2010.”
