Howard Tenens has appointed Jim Tyrrell group managing director with immediate effect.
Tyrrell will take over the day-to-day running of the privately-owned 3PL and, in conjunction with the board, will develop a five-year strategic plan for the company.
Chairman Peter Morris says: “I will continue to play a key role in the future developments of Howard Tenens but I wish to ensure that there is a strong and cohesive succession plan for this business.
“To this end, my sons, Dan Morris, group property director and Ben Morris, group sales & marketing director, who have been working in the company for some years, will play pivotal roles in the formulation of the future strategy for Howard Tenens under the guidance and leadership of Jim Tyrrell, whose vast experience in industry will bring huge benefits to the company.”
Tyrrell was previously chief executive of Mitsubishi, and has spent many years working for Ford in the UK and overseas.
