Jungheinrich has launched an electric-powered pallet truck.
The pedestrian-controlled EME 114 is a compact truck which can be manoeuvred even in tight spaces thanks to its short 450mm front section.
It is powered by two maintenance-free 12 volt gel batteries and can transport pallets and loads weighing more than one tonne.
The truck can travel at five kilometres per hour and can climb gradients of up to eight per cent unladen and five per cent laden.
Jungheinrich engineers also developed an energy management system when making the truck that features a charge status display, a function which automatically blocks unintentional start-up and an integrated operating hour meter.
The EME 114 comes with a built in charger that can be plugged into any 13 amp socket as standard.
The truck is stabilised by two support wheels on both sides of the drive wheel and features an ergonomically shaped tiller which can be operated by both hands.
