AB InBev UK has signed a three-year primary logistics contract with Tradeteam, extending its existing relationship with the drinks logistics provider which already handles its secondary distribution.
Under the agreement, Tradeteam will be responsible for delivering packaged kegs, bottles and cases of brands including Beck’s, Budweiser and Stella Artois from the company’s breweries in Mgor, South Wales and Samlesbury, Lancashire to distribution centres and customers throughout the UK.
Products will be distributed by Tradeteam’s 44-tonne vehicles, along with a selection of third party haulage partners and supported by parent company DHL’s consumer fleet.
It is anticipated that more than 60 employees are to transfer from AM InBev UK operations in Mgor and Samlesbury to Tradeteam under TUPE and a number of new positions have been created at the company’s Burton distribution centre and within DHL.
