Users of the SAP enterprise resource planning system could get the opportunity to contribute to product develop at an earlier stage as a result of a joint initiative between the company and the SAP User Group Executive Network (SUGEN).
The move is also expected to help provide customers with greater product roadmap visibility allowing them to much more effectively plan their future implementations.
“Greater input into, and visibility of product roadmaps has been a long-standing wish for many of our members,” said George Mansfield, director with responsibility for special interest groups development, at SAP UK & Ireland User Group.
“This is a great milestone in SUGEN and the User Group’s relationship with SAP and clearly shows the renewed focus that the company has in listening to its customers and receiving greater input from them.”
Since the start of the year, the SAP UK & Ireland User Group has participated in a number of meetings with SUGEN and SAP where information about the product roadmaps for a number of core SAP modules, including HR, supply chain management, finance and manufacturing has been shared.
