AF-KL Cargo has flown “Danse”, the renowned painting by French artist Henri Matisse, from the Hermitage in St Petersburg to the Hermitage Amsterdam, where it is on show until 9th May. AF-KL Cargo used one of its Boeing 747 combi carriers to transport the picture measuring 4.22m by 2.9m – on main deck. “We have accumulated a wealth of experience when it comes to transporting artwork worldwide, but this still is a very special occasion,” said André Mulder, AF-KL Cargo vice president special cargo.
