The International Air Cargo Association has cut its membership fee for freight forwarders from US$1,000 to $300. It wants to attract more forwarders into membership and is also offering discounts on exhibition and conference costs and access to a new Air Logistics Network.
Forwarders will be able to gain a reduced US$500 delegate package to attend TIACA’s International Air Cargo Forum and Exposition and, as all members, attend its annual Executive Summit and AGM on a complimentary basis.
The Air Logistics Network is planned to be a comprehensive service that facilitates business for forwarders and air logistics professionals. One of the first offerings is ALN’s online Reference Centre, designed to provide links to practical regulatory and commercial references and tools to support the daily work of cargo agents globally. Access to the centre will be restricted to TIACA members.
Secretary general Daniel Fernandez said: “This new initiative follows our offer of free of charge membership to shippers and is clearly designed to attract more shippers and forwarders to the association from across the globe. I am confident that the Air Logistics Network and other business incentives will bring measurable benefits to new members from these sectors of the industry and, subsequently, to the whole TIACA membership.”
