Tesco is thought to be close to securing a pre-let of 500,000 sq ft at Beam Reach 5, one of the London Development Agency’s prime employment sites in London.
Beam Reach 5, Consul Avenue, consists 84 acres of land situated directly alongside the A13 Marsh Way interchange.
Until recently the London Development Agency has been adamant that no distribution related employment would be acceptable on any of the land that it controlled. The U-turn has been described as an “economic necessity”.
