FedEx Express has appointed Gerald Leary to succeed Robert Elliott as regional president for Europe, Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa. Elliott is retiring from FedEx Express.
Leary will be based at the company’s European headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. He joined the group in 1974 and is senior vice president, European operations. In his new role, Leary will be responsible for the leadership and strategic direction of FedEx Express EMEA.
“Jerry’s demonstrated ability to lead and his in-depth transport operations experience make him an excellent choice as the new regional president for EMEA”, said David Bronczek, president and chief executive officer of FedEx Express. “We appreciate Bob Elliott’s many years of service to our organisation.”
