Australian logistics group Toll is to acquire DPEX, the express air freight business, from Qantas.
Toll will use the acquisition to enhance its Toll Priority international express network in the Asia Pacific region. Toll Priority is the premium express satchels and documents business of the Toll Group.
The group has made a number of acquisitions in the past year to expand its TGX division, including Deltec, Skynet and Kwikmail.
Group managing director Paul Little said: ““As a result of enhanced volumes, TGX will now offer customers an improved service offering and will be more competitive. These factors are key to our growth strategy in this market segment.”
Toll calculates that the DPEX acquisition will provide over A$30 million in revenue and is expected to be EPS accretive in year one.
