Steelwedge, which produces an cloud-computing-based sales and operations planning system, has set up a European headquarters in Birmingham. John Sookias has been appointed managing director for EMEA.
“Our presence in Europe positions us to satisfy the need for collaborative S&OP technology beyond North America and provide better service to our multinational client base,” said chief executive Glen Margolis.
The company was founded in 2000 and customers include DIRECTV, Emerson, General Electric, Hewlett Packard, Honeywell, NVIDIA and Sara Lee.
Sookias said: “Steelwedge’s collaborative S&OP solution will give European manufacturers the ability to effectively manage diverse demand streams while balancing an increasing complex global supply base.”
