Molson Coors, which has breweries in Burton, Alton and Tadcaster, has appointed Lee Finney supply chain director, replacing Martin Thomas who retires at the end of June.
Finney joined the brewer from Goodman Fielder, the Australian food company. He said: “When we decided to move to Australasia this was intended to be for the long-term. Molson Coors has managed to attract us back to the UK, driven by my respect for the brands, business culture and potential.”
The group’s UK brands include Carling, Grolsch, Worthingtons and Caffreys.

“It’s an exciting time for the beer industry and I’m looking forward to the challenges,” said Finney. “Not only are we investing in all our brewery facilities and IT systems but we also have two new brewery general managers joining us in Alton and Tadcaster. Together we must try to fill the shoes of some extremely experienced leaders and build on their achievements.”
Chief executive Mark Hunter said: “It’s not been easy to find a replacement for Martin, who leaves our business after 30 years and our search extended overseas, which proved a little tricky for interviewing stages. We’re pleased to welcome Lee to Molson Coors and I am sure that his passion for beer and extensive experience in the Supply Chain world will be our gain.”
