Renault has renewed its contract with Cava Logistics for a further three year and expanded the services Ceva provides.
Ceva will continue to manage the operations for Renault in factories in Valladolid and Palencia and also take charge of the management of inbound and outbound maritime flows of spare parts and car components – engines, gear boxes and bodywork – from Renault’s factories in Valladolid and Seville to customers in South America, Middle East, Asia and Africa.
The efficiency of the railway between Valencia Port and Renault’s factory in Valladolid allowed Ceva to use a multimodal system, replacing the sole use of road transport.
It will ensure the constant rotation of empty container stock according to weekly needs. All containers arriving at Renault’s factory in Valladolid will be classified according to the shipping company transporting them and then sent back to Valencia.
Eduardo Herrera, logistics director at Renault, said: “The collaboration with Ceva has been increased thanks to the customised logistics solutions offered, that enable us to improve the efficiency of our supply chain; the new partnership will allow our teams to cooperate closely to minimise costs and increase the punctuality of our deliveries. Ceva has a dedicated person in our factory in Valladolid to improve and speed up the flow of information; any setback will be quickly solved thanks to its high quality logistics solutions.”
