Vehicle tracking company Navman Wireless has launched an iPhone application which allows customers to manage their entire vehicle fleet.
The app is based on the company’s OnlineAVL2 desktop tracking software, and enables users to locate drivers on maps before routeing them to their next destination.
It also features instant messaging so managers can communicate with drivers and provide them with detailed instructions on their next job.
In addition, users can retrospectively view vehicle movements to determine where vehicles have been during the day and how long for.
Tony Neill, managing director of Navman Wireless UK, said: “The rapid advancement and popularity of smartphones has opened the door to many exciting possibilities for the vehicle tracking industry.”
“This new development represents a natural evolution for vehicle tracking and is part of our ongoing commitment to investment into new mobile technologies.”
