Data capture company Psion Teklogix and identification specialist Zetes have announced a strategic alliance for the Uk market.
The partnershiop will allow Zetes to offer customers its 3iV voice system on Psion’s Workabout Pro Speech PDA device for multimodal working.
The 3iV range was launched two years ago, but will now be run on the IP65 rated PDA device through the application of Psion’s DialogueBuilder toolkit. The companies reckon that the Workabout Pro Speech teamed with the 3iV technology will deliver 99.9 per cent accuracy.
James Hannay, senior vice president of Zetes, northern Europe, said: “We are seeing increasing interest now from smaller businesses in adopting voice directed working in the warehouse. Psion Teklogix’s technology is perfect for SMBs because it has a low cost of ownership and supports multimodal working so they can maximise their investment.”
