Daryl Ridgway has been appointed to Kuehne + Nagel’s North West Europe regional management board as senior vice president, seafreight.
He takes over from Diederick de Vroet, who has decided to return with his family to his native country of Holland.
Ridgway started his career at Geodis Overseas, rising up to the position of national seafreight manager before joining Kuehne + Nagel in 2002 as UK LCL manager. He was appointed trade manager – Asia, Indian Sub Continent, Australia and New Zealand in 2005 and since 2008, he has been director of seafreight operations.
“With our ambitious targets in Seafreight, Daryl’s role as director seafreight North West Europe will be to continue expanding our product and service range and ensure that we are consistently delivering solutions that meet the needs of our customers,” said Tim Scharwath, president of Kuehne + Nagel North West Europe.
