Italian food distributor Ticco is centralising its distribution at Wolverhampton under a new contract with ACS&T Logistics.
ACS&T is now receiving Ticco’s inbound stock into its Wolverhampton depot from suppliers in the UK and Italy. It had previously provided storage, picking and delivery services for Ticco from its Grimsby depot.
Paul Lelew, managing director of Ticco, said: “Moving to Wolverhampton has meant that our suppliers have less distance to travel, reducing fuel costs and food miles for everyone involved.”
At the depot, the distribution company picks from 300 different product lines to create consolidated pallets for onward delivery.
Ticco supplies breads, pastries, ice creams, snacks and savouries to the foodservice sector, and is the sole UK distributor for the Bindi brand of Italian desserts.
