Agecroft Commerce Park in Salford is nearing completion following the release of the final four development plots on site.
The recently released sites range in size from 1.43 acres up to 4.13 acres, which could potentially accommodate single units from 25,000 sq ft to 100,000 sq ft.
The park already counts Nimans and Bunzl among its occupiers, along with PZ Cussons which recently completed a £26m innovation centre.
It is expected that deals could be completed on the remaining four sites by autumn.
Agecroft Commerce Park is situated on the site of the former Agecroft Colliery and was reclaimed by the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA) in association with the Homes and Communities Agencies (HCA) through the National Coalfields Programme.
Paul Lakin, director of land and property at the NWDA, said: “The redevelopment of Agecroft Colliery has been a real success of the National Coalfield Programme, bringing new high quality businesses into Salford. The release of new plots will further establish the business park which will boost the jobs market in Salford now and for future generations.”
Tony O’Keefe, industrial director at DTZ, the sole agent on the park, added: “On completion, the project will ultimately deliver a total of 83,000 sq m of accommodation, securing 1,100 jobs, leaving a thriving industrial estate and a platform for future prosperity and continued employment growth.”
